Our client, a highly respected Fortune 500 organization, is seeking a Technical Accounting Analyst to join its growing finance team. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the office, with flexibility and support for professional development.

• Prepare and maintain accounting position memos and documentation to support transactions.
• Review reserves and balance sheet accounts, applying U.S. GAAP and working with internal and external experts on areas such as environmental liabilities, receivables, litigation, pension/OPEB, and goodwill.
• Research complex or non‑routine accounting issues and prepare analyses, journal entries, and disclosures; communicate recommendations to senior management.
• Conduct technical accounting research on regulatory guidance and accounting standards and provide practical implementation recommendations.
• Partner with finance and operational teams to update and maintain internal accounting policies in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Prepare financial statement footnote disclosures in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC standards.
• Support managers and assistant controllers by providing timely accounting research and historical analysis.
• Work with internal and external auditors on internal controls and audit testing.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc accounting initiatives as needed.
