Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting

Location: New York City, NY
Pay Rate: $80-$90/hour

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to support financial reporting, month-end close activities, and technical accounting initiatives. This individual will play a key role in preparing financial statements, performing financial analysis, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP.

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures.
• Support the month-end close process and reporting timelines.
• Perform variance and fluctuation analyses for management reporting.
• Research technical accounting issues and prepare accounting memos.
• Assist with external audits and coordinate auditor requests.
• Support accounting policy development and process improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial information.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5+ years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience and/or public company financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience preparing financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Experience with month-end close and account analysis.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Net Suite and/or Flo Qast experience is a plus, but not required.
