Location: New York
Responsible for preparing and filing state and federal income returns for the company and ensuring that all tax-related filings are compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
EssentialJob Duties
- Prepare and file Federal and State Income Tax returns
- Prepare and file State and Federal quarterly estimates
- Prepare annual E&P group calculation
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provision
- Respond to tax notices and audits.
- Review state sales & use tax filings for Marubeni America Corporation
- Review state property tax filings for Marubeni America Corporation
- Prepare and file federal information returns for Marubeni America Corporation and subsidiaries.
- Prepare and file state annual reports for Marubeni America Corporation
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum Experience and Capability Requirements- Minimum 2 years of Federal income tax experience
- Advanced Excel skills required (X-Lookups, SUMIFS, Power Query); ability to build and maintain complex workbooks
- Strong tax technology skills; experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools a plus; willingness to adopt and champion AI tools and emerging technologies
- Strong analytical, technical and research skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to Balance Multiple priorities and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
