Tax Accountant

Lloyd Staffing has partnered with a local CPA Firm based in Nassau County seeking a Tax Accountant to join their team. This role offers hands‑on exposure to a diverse client base, including high-net‑worth individuals and closely held businesses. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and motivated to grow within a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

• Perform tax research on federal, state, and international matters
• Prepare and review individual (Form 1040) tax returns
  , including multi‑state filings
• Prepare and review business and specialty returns
  , including C‑Corps (1120), S‑Corps (1120S), Partnerships (1065), fiduciary (1041), foundations (990‑PF), and gift tax (709)
• Assist with international compliance
  , including FBAR filings and expatriate returns
• Prepare tax projections and estimated payments to support planning
• Assist with financial planning and special projects
• Respond to tax notices and support audits as needed
• Build and maintain strong client relationships

• 2–5 years of tax and accounting experience, preferably in public accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
  CPA preferred (or in progress)
• Master’s in Taxation is a plus
• Experience working with high-net‑worth individuals
  , including complex Form 1040 returns
• Working knowledge of income tax planning and financial planning concepts
• Proficiency with CCH Pro System fx Tax and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Self‑motivated, dependable, and team‑oriented with a strong work ethic
