Our client is a fund management firm. They seek a Senior Fund Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounting and financial reports and ensure accurate accounting
• Support various operating transactions of the company following policies
• Serve as a technical resource and provide subject matter expertise
• Perform fund accounting tasks, including reconciliations, capital calls, distributions, etc.
• Monitor service providers to determine performance aligns with expectations
• Think critically about the information produced and how to provide more insights
• Responsible for producing consistent, well-defined intra and end-of-day deliverables
• Liaise across departments to understand, review, and process all relevant transaction
• Assess how transaction and amendment information is captured in various systems
• Audit the existence and valuation of diverse level 1, 2, and 3 investment positions

Requirements

• 5+ years of fund accounting experience
• Private or combo accounting background
• Organized with keen attention to detail
• Able to multitask and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• CPA required
