Senior Property Accountant

Coda Search is partnering with a well‑known real estate company that is seeking to hire a Senior Property Accountant with offices located in Westchester County. This is a fantastic company that owns, operates, and develops a variety of residential and commercial assets all across the nation. The team is seeking to hire a Senior Property Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing their own portfolio of properties, preparing all the financial reporting, leading the month‑end close, reviewing all cash management, and overseeing all day‑to‑day accounting functions.

• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties or real estate portfolios.
• Perform month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, tenant ledgers, and intercompany accounts.
• Analyze property operating results, variances, and financial trends.
• Prepare and review CAM (Common Area Maintenance)
• Maintain general ledger activity and ensure accuracy of all accounting transactions.
• Coordinate with property management teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Support external audits and lender reporting requirements.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activity for assigned properties.
• Identify process improvements and help streamline accounting workflows

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience
• Residential/Commercial property experience required
• Comfortable speaking with outside investors
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
