Job Overview
DBI Consultants is hiring an Accounts Receivable Associate to support a fast‑paced, high‑volume billing and collections operation. The role manages cash application, tracking, and reconciliation of millions of dollars in client payments across hundreds of active projects, maintains consultant rates, and oversees e‑billing portal activities.
Responsibilities- Process daily cash application and deposits, including reconciling check and ACH payments.
- Apply customer payments accurately within accounting and billing systems and ensure data integrity across platforms.
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, and client inquiries.
- Submit invoices via client electronic billing platforms, track rejections, coordinate corrections, and minimize billing reductions.
- Review client billing guidelines to ensure compliance and coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing roadblocks for timely invoice submission.
- Maintain reporting metrics related to all e‑bill systems.
- Support collection efforts and provide internal reporting to management.
- Provide customer service to clients and collaborate with project managers to drive timely cash flow.
- 1–3 years of Accounts Receivable, Billing, Cash Application, or related accounting experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of professional billing practices and cash application processes.
- Strong analytical thinking and proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation).
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- Excellent communication skills for professional interactions with clients regarding invoices, payments, and account inquiries.
- Problem‑solving skills and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
- Ability to identify discrepancies, verify data accuracy, and produce financial analysis and reports.
Salary range: $60,000 – $70,000. Includes competitive healthcare benefits, 401(k) match, and a twice‑annual bonus potential.
Location & HoursIn‑person role based in Herald Square, New York City. Office hours: 9:00AM – 6:00PM (Monday‑Friday).
Physical RequirementsLight lifting (10–15lbs.), standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching, typing, and repetitive hand motions. Requires visual acuity to read data and operate computer terminals.
