Our client, a well-established NYC insurance defense firm, is seeking an experienced Accounting & Bookkeeping Associate to join their team. This hybrid role is based in midtown Manhattan and reports directly to the Firm Administrator.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and analyze financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, general ledger, attorney hours
- Oversee billing operations and supervise the billing team to ensure timely processing
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and client payment
- Reconcile multiple escrow and operating accounts in Quick Book
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Advise attorneys and staff on timekeeping and billing practice
- Partner with leadership by delivering financial insights for decision-makin
- Coordinate bonus/billing data with payroll and senior managemen
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience in an insurance defense firm
- Strong proficiency in Quick Books, Clio Manage, and Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of GAA
- Proven ability to manage teams and work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive
- Salary: $115K–$165K + bonus (salary is DOE
