Our team of chief financial officers, controllers, senior accountants, and bookkeeping specialists brings years of experience working with small to mid‑sized organizations, both for‑profit and non‑profit. The team offers comprehensive accounting, bookkeeping, and high‑level financial management services that support clients’ daily accounting needs while advancing broader corporate goals.

Senior Accounting Specialist Role

A Senior Accounting Specialist maintains accurate financial records, prepares statements, and handles payroll processing. The role coordinates accounts payable and receivable, assists with budgeting and forecasting, ensures tax compliance, and provides insights for decision‑making.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day‑to‑day financial reporting accuracy and timely client information processing.
  • Record journal entries in multiple accounting systems following generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts.
  • Review and approve account classifications.
  • Verify general ledger for missing transactions and overall accuracy.
  • Execute accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations.
  • Reconcile subsidiary accounts to controls.
  • Prepare sales tax returns.
  • Prepare initial/draft management reporting package each month.
  • Assist clients with related accounting issues.
  • Process vendor bills and credit card transactions.
  • Administer W‑9s.
  • Support audit preparation and assistance.
  • Prepare monthly draft 1099 vendor reports and year‑end 1099s.
  • Process payroll and related transactions as needed by clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred; associate’s degree with relevant experience acceptable.
  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and Quick Books; experience with other accounting software is a plus.
  • Full‑charge accounting experience or strong background in day‑to‑day transaction data entry.
  • Ability to maintain month‑end closing procedures.
  • Understanding of cash versus accrual accounting.
  • Experience managing multiple clients across various industries.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multi‑tasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Team‑based working style.
  • Initiative and independent problem solving for routine and complex matters.
