Senior Accountant, Inventory
Location:
New York, NY, USA
- Support monthly close activities related to inventory accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- Maintain and analyze inventory costing, reserves, variances, and inventory-related financial reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate inventory reporting and process alignment
- Assist with inventory controls, cycle counts, and audit support
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies across inventory accounting workflows
- Participate in the implementation and optimization of Workday inventory and accounting processes
- Help document and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls related to inventory
- Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in public accounting and/or internal inventory accounting
- Foundational understanding of inventory cost accounting principles and inventory controls
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Process improvement and automation-oriented mindset with a desire to challenge and improve existing processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Oracle and Workday experience is a plus

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
