Senior Accountant – Business Services – Manhattan
A national Professional Services firm based in New York City has created a new role on its staff for an experienced Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Assistant Controller and collaborating with team members across various departments, this individual will be a key contributor to monthly General Ledger accounting activities.
Primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:- Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies
- Oversee daily, monthly, and annual GL accounting activities
- Prepare and review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Review and approve expenses and AP transactions
- Produce financial reporting packages and supporting documents
- Perform variance and budget-to-actual analysis for multiple departments
- Participate in special projects including regular adjustments to policies and procedures
- Support annual external audit activities
- Ability to perform all required duties while working in-person, 5 days a week
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- CPA or significant progress toward certification
- 4 years of progressive General Ledger and Financial Reporting experience
Competitive salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year plus benefits and performance incentives.
