Senior Accountant (JN -) Manhattan, New York
Salary: USD
70,000 - USD
90,000 per annum
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor payments, invoicing, and collections
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate, up-to-date records
- Own the month‑end close process, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Support the annual audit, coordinating documentation and responding to auditor requests
- Support preparation of the Form 990 in collaboration with the CFO and external advisors
- Work alongside strategic CFO partners to support client accounting needs
- Handle day‑to‑day accounting tasks across a portfolio of charter school clients
- Contribute to cash flow forecasting and variance analysis for client organizations
- Help maintain accurate financial records that allow the CFO team to deliver timely, reliable reporting to school leadership
- 3 to 5 years of progressive, hands‑on accounting experience
- Non‑profit accounting experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a business‑related field such as Accounting or Finance
- Solid proficiency across core accounting functions: AP, AR, general ledger, and month‑end close
