Accounts Receivable; AR Accountant

We are partnering with a well‑established retail and wholesale brand to find a Staff Accountant who will take full ownership of its Accounts Receivable function. This is a hands‑on role for someone who likes responsibility. You will run AR day to day while working closely with a collaborative finance team and cross‑training across general accounting, so it is a strong fit for anyone who wants to deepen their broader accounting exposure over time.

• The full AR cycle: invoicing for wholesale accounts, cash application, customer credits, chargebacks, and reconciliations
• AR aging and collections, acting as the main point of contact for AR queries with both internal and external contacts
• Reconciling the AR subledger to the general ledger and resolving discrepancies
• Setting up and maintaining wholesale customer accounts in the ERP, and processing credit card, wire, ACH, and foreign exchange payments
• Coordinating with warehouses to release paid orders, and partnering with Wholesale, E‑commerce, and Operations to resolve billing, collection, and return issues

• Supporting month and year‑end close, including journal entries, account analysis, and supporting schedules
• Bank and balance sheet reconciliations across accounts such as prepaids, gift cards, and petty cash
• Intercompany entries, maintaining the fixed asset subledger, and driving process improvement across AR and accounting

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting. This is a firm requirement, so please only apply if you hold one.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience, with strong and demonstrable AR exposure
• A solid grounding in double‑entry accounting, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Wholesale experience, which is essential for this role
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working in an ERP environment. RLM and Shopify experience are a plus. CPA is a plus.
• A warm, confident communicator who is positive, personable, and easy to deal with for customers and colleagues alike
