Accounting Advisor

Our client is seeking an Accounting Advisory Manager to join its rapidly expanding consulting practice. This role is ideal for a CPA with a strong technical accounting foundation who enjoys solving complex business challenges, advising clients on critical accounting matters, and leading high-impact engagements.

The Accounting Advisory Manager will work directly with CFOs, Controllers, Private Equity sponsors, and executive leadership teams to provide accounting and financial reporting expertise across a variety of transactions and business initiatives.

• Lead accounting advisory engagements for public and private company clients across multiple industries.
• Advise clients on complex accounting matters including revenue recognition, business combinations, debt and equity transactions, stock compensation, lease accounting, and technical accounting research.
• Assist clients with financial reporting, month-end close optimization, accounting policy development, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, integrations, and other strategic transactions.
• Prepare and review accounting memoranda and technical accounting position papers.
• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to finance and accounting leadership teams.
• Lead engagement teams, review work products, and mentor junior professionals.
• Collaborate with partners and directors on business development initiatives and proposal preparation.
• Identify opportunities to improve client accounting operations, controls, and reporting processes.

• CPA required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 6+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting and/or accounting advisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience researching and documenting technical accounting conclusions.
• Prior experience advising clients on complex accounting transactions.
• Excellent project management, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced consulting environment.

• Big 4 or national public accounting firm experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with in an accounting advisory, transaction advisory, or consulting practice.
• Exposure to private equity-backed companies, M&A transactions, and financial reporting projects.
• Experience leading teams and managing client engagements.
