Account Clerk Ii/Purchasing Agent

West Genesee has an anticipated opening for an Account Clerk II/Purchasing Agent in our Business Office effective 7/8/26. This position acts as the District Deputy Treasurer and carries a $5,000 stipend for Purchasing Agent work. Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Onondaga County Department of Personnel (Civil Service) for the title of Account Clerk II as listed below.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of account keeping work experience or its part-time equivalent, the major job function of which is the maintenance of financial accounts, which must have included reconciling and posting to ledgers, journals and other accounting records, or the processing and maintenance of fiscal transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and statistical data and records; or,
• Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration or Finance.
• Successful completion of 12 semester credit hours in accounting, finance or business administration.

Employment Conditions

New York State Education Department Clearance:
Appointment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and fingerprinting clearance from the NYS Education Department as required by the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation.
