Overview

Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted advisor delivering tax, accounting, and advisory services to private wealth clients, including ultra‑high‑net‑worth families, closely held businesses, and trust and estate work.
- Oversee accounting, bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation.
- Review and analyze clients’ accounting records, provide consultation, and communicate findings.
- Deliver best‑in‑class client service with a focus on responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism, and accuracy.
- Lead and plan client engagements, continually evaluating processes and procedures to implement efficiencies and address internal control issues.
- Recommend business and process improvements based on client operations and objectives.
- Build and maintain client relationships, act as liaison to resolve issues, and assist team leaders in expanding services.
- Delegate responsibilities, set goals, provide resources, remove obstacles, and schedule deadlines to meet delivery expectations.
- Stay current on local, state, and federal tax practices and laws.
- Assist with engagement staffing, billing/collections, and ensure client profitability targets are met.
- Network and build relationships with clients and community to grow the practice.
- Pursue professional development through firm‑wide learning and development programs.
- Support the growth of team members through coaching and mentorship.
- Maintain a healthy work‑life balance through social activities and team outings.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting; master’s or advanced degree desirable.
- CPA, EA, or JD required.
- Minimum of five (5) years providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting, and advisory services in a professional services firm.
- At least two (2) years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates.
- Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project‑management, and communication skills.
- Strong client service orientation, commitment to continuous learning, and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
- Preferred:
Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, private‑wealth industry experience, experience with high‑net‑worth individuals, trust & estate experience, family office experience.
Pay range: $126,500 to $166,300. Compensation is influenced by qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
