Location: Brewster
Unilock, North America's leading manufacturer of concrete paving stones and retaining walls, is hiring a Staff Accountant for our Brewster, NY location. This is a great opportunity to grow your accounting career in a stable, team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
* Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
* Reconcile payroll, bank, credit card, and other general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
* Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
* Support internal and external audits.
* Provide support for accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations.
* Assist with vendor maintenance, W-9 collection, and annual 1099 reporting.
* Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
* Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
* Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
* Minimum of three (3) years of general accounting experience.
* Experience with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and accounts payable
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems preferred.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
