Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant
Gloss Genius is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day financial operations. Reporting to the Controller, you will be hands-on across core accounting functions, from monthly close to reconciliations, and have the opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling company. We are looking for someone who not only executes accounting tasks but also actively thinks about how AI and automation can make those tasks faster, smarter, and more scalable.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in executing a timely and accurate monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations across the general ledger
- Process vendor invoices, manage payment runs, monitor accounts receivable aging, and ensure timely collections and accurate records
- Prepare and review reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and key balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policy, ensuring proper coding and documentation
- Assist in preparing schedules and documentation for the annual financial audit, supporting external auditors as needed
- Proactively explore and pilot AI tools to eliminate low-value manual work and build more scalable accounting operations
- Partner with Finance, People Ops, and other teams to ensure transactions are properly recorded and financial data is reliable
You’re a great fit if you:
- Have 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup, SaaS, or fintech company
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred
- Have a solid understanding of GAAP and foundational accounting principles
- Demonstrate interest in or experience with AI tools, such as using ChatGPT/Claude to draft analyses or automation platforms like Ramp or Zip for accounts payable
- Are comfortable with general ledger systems; familiarity with Net Suite or a comparable ERP preferred
- Are proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and eager to move toward more automated solutions
- Have a builder’s mindset — you don’t just flag inefficiencies, you propose and help implement fixes
The starting base salary for this role is between $115,000–$140,000 plus benefits. The base salary offered depends on skills, experience, and education.
