The Supervisor – Transition Team will be responsible for overseeing the onboarding and historical data migration of new clients, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of all transition work streams. This role involves supervising a team of fund accountants, reviewing converted financial data and reconciliations, and serving as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders throughout the transition lifecycle. The position offers significant exposure to client onboarding strategy, accounting systems, and process improvement in a project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and review the conversion and reconciliation of historical accounting data from prior administrators or systems, including trial balance, financial statements, PCAP, IRR, Waterfall and other applicable deliverables prepared by fund accountants, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm standards
  • Manage transition timelines, checklists, and deliverables across multiple concurrent onboarding projects
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for reconciliation, data, or reporting issues, coordinating resolution with internal teams and client service groups
  • Train, mentor, and develop fund accountants, providing regular feedback and performance input
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance the efficiency and quality of the transition process
  • Communicate transition status, risks, and key milestones to management and stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; CPA or progress toward CPA a plus
  • 5-7 years of fund accounting or fund administration experience, preferably in private equity; prior transition, conversion, or onboarding experience strongly preferred
  • Prior supervisory or review experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop and motivate staff
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to manage and analyze large data sets
  • Strong knowledge of private‑equity fund structures, allocations, and partner capital accounting
  • Experience with fund accounting systems (Intacct, Investran, Allvue, etc.) preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and project management abilities; able to manage competing priorities and deadlines

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits package. Please note that the actual salary offered within that range will depend on the candidate’s experience level.

Work Arrangement
