Junior Staff Accountant

Overview

Junior Staff Accountant — Rye Brook, NY Area. Onsite | Full-Time. Our client, a well-established international distribution company with approximately $100 million in revenue, is seeking a Junior Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This role offers a path for growth into more senior accounting functions, including intercompany accounting, consolidations, and foreign currency transactions. The organization provides a collaborative, team-oriented environment with mentorship from experienced accounting leadership.

• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close processes
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Support annual audit activities and auditor requests
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
• Assist with various accounting projects and process improvements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Prior accounting internship or accounting experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Experience with Sage 100 and/or Net Suite is a plus
• Japanese language skills (written and verbal) are highly desirable but not required
