Tax Associate

Overview

Company Overview: A leading integrated fee-only RIA in the United States, this firm provides comprehensive wealth management solutions to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. They are seeking a Tax Associate to join their team, focusing on delivering exceptional client service and supporting tax planning and compliance efforts.

• Prepare individual, trust, estate, gift, foundation, and business tax returns on a timely basis
• Review tax source documents and data pushed through OCR for accuracy
• Conduct tax research to support tax planning and compliance efforts
• Stay current on new tax legislation and tax reform
• Assist with handling Federal and State Tax notices
• Maintain detailed and organized tax files, including documenting all relevant information and supporting documents for tax returns
• Collect and input relevant financial records into tax return software or databases
• Analyze tax data submitted by clients to maximize the outcome to the client
• Support the tax planning process for clients and members of the Tax team

• BA/BS degree in accounting from an accredited college/university required; master’s in taxation or accountancy preferred
• Active CPA licensed or seeking CPA license preferred
• 1 to 3 years of prior work experience as a tax preparer preferred, but not required (Big 4 Experience Preferred)
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and tax applications (e.g. CCH Axcess)
• Solid accounting and knowledge of tax laws and regulations in general
