Role Overview
Revenue Manager – Accounts Receivable for the Olympics business. Oversees day‑to‑day execution of the revenue cycle, manages a small team of staff accountants, and ensures transactional accuracy, system integrity, and scalable operations in a high‑volume, event‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Cash Receipts Processing: oversee daily processing, application, and reconciliation of all incoming payments (wires, checks, credit cards) across customer accounts, implementing controls for accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage Invoicing Operations: direct preparation, review, and distribution of customer invoices for ticket sales, sponsor ships, hospitality packages, and other Olympics revenue streams, ensuring timely and GAAP‑compliant billing.
- Supervise AR Inquiry and Collections: manage the AR inbox, customer communications, and escalations; lead collections strategy for delinquent accounts, including aging analysis, dunning processes, and recovery targets.
- Drive AR Documentation and Compliance: maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, receipts, and supporting documents; ensure audit‑ready files and adherence to ASC
606 revenue recognition standards. - Oversee Journal Entries and Reconciliations: review and approve journal entries for cash, AR, revenue deferrals, and related accruals; perform monthly reconciliations between subledger and GL.
- Produce and Analyze Reporting: deliver recurring reports (daily cash summaries, AR aging, revenue dashboards) and ad‑hoc analyses for leadership, forecasting, and month‑end close; leverage Excel and ERP systems for insights.
- Lead Audit and Controls: coordinate year‑end audits, internal controls testing (SOX compliance), and process documentation; serve as primary liaison with external auditors.
- Team Management and Development: supervise 2‑4 staff accountants, conduct performance reviews, provide training on AR/revenue processes, and foster a high‑performance culture.
- Process Optimization: identify and implement AR/revenue process improvements, including automation opportunities in Net Suite or similar ERP systems, to support scalability for future events.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP (ASC
606), AR processes, and revenue cycle management in complex, event‑based environments. - Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams, driving performance, and resolving issues.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; thrives in fast‑paced, international settings with peak‑period demands.
- Passion for process automation and continuous improvement.
Reports to Director of Revenue Operations. Standard 40‑50 hour work week, with additional hours and weekend work during month‑end closes, event periods, and fiscal year‑end.
CompensationHiring Rate Minimum: $90,000 annually;
Hiring Rate Maximum: $120,000 annually.
