Position OverviewHireIQ are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Senior Property Accountant to join our client team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate accounting and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Generate financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, for investor and lender review
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records for various properties
- Month-end and year-end closing processes
- Conduct monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable to ensure proper recording of invoices and receivables
- Manage accounts receivable and intercompany billings as needed
- Prepare and support annual 1099 reporting with the AP team
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure timely beneficial ownership reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Work cross-functionally with departments to gather financial data
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong expertise in financial statement preparation, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Solid understanding of real estate accounting principles
- Proficiency in Yardi (essential)
