We are seeking an experienced and driven Accounting Manager to oversee our day‑to‑day accounting operations. We are a NYC based mid‑size residential general contracting firm. This is a leadership role for a detail‑oriented professional who can work alongside other departments, own the month‑end close process, and serve as a reliable financial partner to senior leadership.

The right candidate is organized, analytical, and capable of building and improving accounting processes as the organization grows.

• Manage the full cycle of accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
• Lead and supervise all accounting processes, providing guidance and performance oversight
• Own the month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and P&L reports
• Oversee bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy across accounting functions

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards
• Proficiency with construction accounting software (Acumatica preferred, Sage, Timberline or similar)
• Experience with month‑end close, financial statement preparation, and audit coordination
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
