Small NYC business management firm seeks an experienced senior accountant for a long‑term position. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, forward‑facing, and needs little hand holding.

• Compile and prepare financial data and enter information on tax forms for personal and corporate returns.
• Perform meticulous financial recordkeeping for tax preparation, including maintaining and updating financial records.
• Conduct precise data entry, bank account reconciliation, P&L reporting, budgeting, and compare financial records.
• Prepare tax returns for corporations and partnerships, and handle and manage Schedule C and K-1s.
• Work in the entertainment industry and with entrepreneurs, managing diverse client needs.

• Experience compiling and preparing financial data for tax returns.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of CCH Axcess tax software.
• Experience with Quick Books Desktop & Online; XERO accounting software is a plus.
• Self‑directed, analytical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outgoing demeanor and proactive attitude.
• Enrolled Agent preferred.

12‑16 hours per week: 1 day in‑office and 1 day remote. Hourly rate commensurate with experience, but excellent.
