Fund Accountant

A leading credit-focused alternative investment manager is seeking a Fund Accounting & Operations Associate to join its team. The firm invests across a diverse range of credit-oriented opportunities and maintains a sophisticated platform supporting complex investment vehicles and financing structures. This role offers broad exposure to fund accounting, financial reporting, investor activity, and operational processes within a dynamic investment management environment.

• Prepare and review monthly internal performance and NAV estimates for fund entities and special purpose vehicles.
• Work closely with administrators on the month-end close process, including reviewing financials, investor allocations, capital statements, and supporting schedules.
• Review monthly profit/loss and custody reconciliations between internal records and administrators, resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Assist in reviewing daily profit/loss, capital activity, and NAV reporting for registered investment products.
• Reconcile administrator results to internally prepared projections for portfolio performance, operating expenses, management fees, and incentive fees.
• Assist with the coordination of year-end financial statement audits, working with fund administrators and external auditors.
• Partner with Investor Relations regarding subscriptions, redemptions, performance estimates, investor statements, and ad hoc investor requests.
• Provide performance analytics and reporting to senior management and business stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation and review of regulatory filings and quarterly reporting requirements.
• Participate in special projects, including technology enhancements, process improvements, controls reviews, and new fund launches.
• Review fund governing documents and assess the impact on accounting policies, operational procedures, and financial reporting.
