Your role ensures that our fiscal operations are running smoothly so that our agency can provide services that children, adults, and families most need. Whether you are managing billing and revenue processes, attendance and electronic file updates, or you're performing investment transactions and entering census data for our Board, your work will help drive the success of our fiscal operations.
Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant - A/R, you will ensure accuracy and integrity as you work both independently and as part of our team, and you'll get to assist with a range of Accounts Payable bookkeeping functions as needed too. What You Will Do as Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper:
- You will process and submit billing (OPWDD, Tuition, Maintenance, ASP, SEDCAR) in compliance with regulations and agency procedures.
- You will review attendance and supporting documentation to ensure accurate billing and service records.
- You will post billing, maintain client accounts, and manage service authorizations in financial systems.
- You will monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- You will process daily cash receipts, reconcile payments, and prepare weekly/month-end deposits.
- You will support federal funding documentation and billing, including SEDCAR processes.
- You will conduct quarterly audits of personal allowance accounts and report findings.
- You will assist with Accounts Payable functions as needed, including invoice entry and payment processing.
- You will manage Anderson Foundation for Autism transactions, reconciliations, and pledge invoicing.
- You will complete monthly bank reconciliations, journal entries, and update board reporting data.
- You will perform other related duties as assigned.
- You will help ensure that financial files are maintained with integrity and a commitment to accuracy in accordance with policies.

The Qualifications We Seek:
- Associate's Degree in a business-related field, or High School diploma/equivalent with relevant experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or bookkeeping.
- Experience with Medicaid billing and familiarity with financial/billing systems preferred.
- Knowledge of funding sources such as SED, OPWDD, and OCFS preferred.
