Responsibilities
- Prepare invoices that comply with funder contract standards, company guidelines, and U.S. Government FAR, CAS, and 2 CFR 200 regulations.
- Read and interpret contractual billing terms to ensure adherence to requirements and timelines.
- Administer contract billing and revenue recognition processes, using automated systems to input data, generate reports, and conduct research projects.
- Reconcile accounts and maintain systematic records of periodic transactions.
- Generate reports and maintain financial filing systems; process team work with accuracy.
- Inform managers of billing/payment issues and prepare reports ahead of financial reporting deadlines.
- Independent billing activities for various project types (CPFF, T&M, Fixed Price) across multiple customers.
- Identify and resolve or escrow system invoice calculation errors; lead or support issue resolution based on complexity.
- Reconcile project costs to billed costs and maintain billing records.
- Produce monthly reconciliation reports with detailed analysis of project and billing costs.
- Collaborate with program staff and external clients to provide compliant, timely invoices.
- Participate in special research and analytical projects related to contract billing and revenue recognition.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in accounting, finance, billing, or a related field.
- Experience with billing and understanding of work breakdown structures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and accounting systems.
- Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, U.S. Government FAR, CAS, and 2 CFR 200 regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, dispute resolution, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, prioritize independent tasks, and operate under pressure.
U.S. Based salary range: USD 55,000 – 80,000 annually. 7% of base pay contributed to a retirement plan. 18 paid vacation days, 12 sick days, and 11 holidays per year. Pro‑rata benefits for part‑time employees.
Travel requirements:
Less than 10%.
