- Record and reconcile all benefits-related journal entries including health insurance, retirement plan contributions, FSA/HSA, and other fringe benefits
- Prepare and post monthly accruals for vacation, sick leave, and other compensated absences
- Partner with HR and Finance to ensure accurate benefits billing, carrier reconciliations, and timely premium payments
- Support annual audit by preparing payroll and benefits schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and maintaining supporting documentation
- Process multi-cycle, multi-state payroll for 500-800 employees including full-time, part-time, seasonal, and union staff using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including rules specific to collective bargaining agreements
- Manage garnishments, tax with holdings, and year-end W‑2/ACA reporting
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and issue resolution
- Maintain payroll records in accordance with internal policies and applicable regulations
