A prominent New York-based organization is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to support high-volume payroll operations in a dynamic environment. Job Description
  • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule
  • Manage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, transfers, compensation adjustments, and garnishments
  • Reconcile payroll data and validate reports prior to transmission
  • Process special payroll runs including bonuses and year-end adjustments
  • Resolve complex payroll discrepancies and escalated processing issues
  • Partner cross-functionally to address employee payroll inquiries and resolve payment-related concerns
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries involving garnishments, tax levies, and compliance matters
  • Ensure adherence to payroll deadlines, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
  • 7+ years of multi-state payroll experience in a high-volume environment
  • Experience with multi-company payroll structures preferred
  • CPP or FPC certification strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. wage and hour laws, garnishments, and payroll tax requirements
  • Experience with Ulti Pro required
  • IBM Cognos Business Intelligence experience preferred
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
