Accounting Assistant
Looking to kickstart your career in corporate finance? Kravet LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, organized Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our day-to-day operations by managing customer accounts, handling billing adjustments, and maintaining tax documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update customer sales tax profiles seamlessly within Avalara and Oracle.
- Obtain, review, and validate sales tax exemption and resale certificates from B2B customers.
- Prepare, verify, and input sales tax credits and credit card refunds into the Oracle system.
- Partner with customer service and internal finance teams to efficiently resolve sales tax discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing and submitting monthly/quarterly sales tax reports for relevant tax authorities.
- Lend a hand with ad-hoc accounting tasks and special finance projects as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite products.
- Experience with Oracle or similar EBS system preferred.
- Familiarity with sales tax procedures advantageous.
- Accounting knowledge beneficial.
- Possess a friendly demeanor, able to collaborate effectively and self-motivated in a dynamic setting.
- Skilled in extensive phone and email correspondence with clients and internal teams.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively take charge and excel within team dynamics or autonomously.
- Hybrid position with on-site training.
- Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000.
