A well-established general contracting firm in Manhattan is seeking a Controller to join its team.
Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end billing and accounts payable across all vendors—invoicing, payouts, reconciliation, and timely payments
- Ensure revenue is accurate, traceable, and complete
- Own balance sheet reconciliations, including bank/credit card accounts and monthly accruals, investigating and resolving variances
- File, pay, and record tax obligations accurately and on time across multiple states
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close, maintaining clean, current books
- Assist with preparation of consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and partner with the CFO on investor-ready reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements, streamlining workflows and strengthening internal controls
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of relevant construction accounting experience
- 3 weeks of PTO annually
