• Make appropriate journal entries to record mortgage, payroll, utilities, management fees, property insurance, property taxes and other cash transactions
• Process vendor invoices
• Submit wires, ACHs, and internal bank transfers; prepare monthly billing statements
• Perform bank reconciliations (operating, security deposit, escrow accounts)
• Perform reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts
• Perform in‑depth review of the income statement
• Perform monthly financial review, accrual accounting and GL reclassifications
• Perform actual‑to‑budget variance analysis
• Prepare monthly financial statement package for ownership including balance sheet, profit & loss statement and statement of cash flows (if applicable)
• Prepare quarterly financial reporting to fulfill lender compliance requirements
• Maintain related schedules (property insurance and taxes, compliance, etc.)
• Act as liaison to external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, providing research data and information as requested, and answering questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner.
• Maintain job costing schedules and prepare construction draw packages
• Maintain task management and work papers

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 1+ years’ experience in property accounting managing multiple properties/entities – commercial, residential, and new construction
• Knowledge of Sage Intacct, and/or Yardi

• Experience working with task management and workpaper system (Blackline, Floqast)
• Experience working with Appfolio and/or Avid Exchange
