VP, Assistant Fund Controller

Our client, a $5B+ multi-fund private equity platform with global reach, is hiring for a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO. As the #2 on the funds team, you'll help build the accounting and reporting infrastructure behind the firm's next stage of growth. • Own the quarterly and annual reporting cycles across multiple fund vehicles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with reporting standards
• Serve as the primary point of contact with external fund administrators on performance reporting, valuations, and capital account matters
• Deliver high-level financial analysis and KPI reporting to inform decisions made by senior leadership and investors
• Direct capital planning and cash flow strategy across deal closings, exits, capital calls, and distributions globally
• Oversee accounting treatment for direct investments, joint ventures, and consolidations across jurisdictions
• Provide strategic input on transaction execution and funding structure alongside the investment team
• Set direction for liquidity forecasting, expense management, and debt compliance across a global portfolio
• Lead audit and tax processes, managing relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel across multiple regions
• Build and refine processes, controls, and systems to support a scaling, multi-strategy platform
• Act as a right hand to the CFO, helping shape the future structure and growth of the funds function
• Oversee investor due diligence responses in partnership with the investor relations function

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 or large public and private accounting background
• Currently a Fund Controller or Senior Fund Accounting Manager
• 5+ years in private equity, alternative asset management, infrastructure, real estate or real assets funds, including experience with multi-fund or multi-strategy platforms
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP, ILPA reporting standards, and accounting for direct investments, joint ventures, and consolidations
• Hands‑on experience managing third‑party fund administrator relationships, including oversight of performance reporting, valuations, and capital accounts
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred
