Responsibilities
- Execute and lead Accounting & Reporting Advisory engagements, including research and preparation of client deliverables.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations; communicate with clients to identify issues, resolve discrepancies, and, when necessary, elevate matters.
- Review and analyze complex contracts, conduct technical accounting research, and document conclusions in accordance with relevant guidance.
- Prepare and contribute to accounting memoranda and policies, ensuring alignment with accounting standards.
- Determine appropriate journal entries and perform other operational accounting tasks.
- Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures; research SEC filing requirements and develop supporting accounting schedules.
- Act as a post‑acquisition integration subject‑matter expert, demonstrating proficiency with standard IMO practices.
- Serve as a technical accounting SME for the firm’s valuation practice, providing ad‑hoc research and support.
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations for clients, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and journal entry posting.
- Engage in client pursuits and proposals, contributing to business development efforts.
- Identify opportunities to scale efficiencies and implement innovative workflows across projects.
- Interact with finance‑focused ERPs such as Net Suite, Sage Intacct, SAP, and Oracle.
- Leverage AI‑enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance research, streamline deliverable preparation, and improve overall efficiency.
- Broad knowledge of US GAAP, including purchase accounting, derivatives, complex debt and equity securities, stock‑based compensation, revenue recognition, and lease accounting.
- Experience with financial statement preparation and interpreting complex accounting standards.
- Deep experience with M&A transactions, particularly post‑acquisition integration.
- AICPA and PCAOB‑level audit readiness preferred.
- Experience presenting to C‑suite and executive tier clients.
- Entrepreneurial, client‑service focused, and comfortable in a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills.
- Proficiency with accounting systems such as Quick Books, Xero, , and Expensify.
- Interest in using AI tools to enhance productivity, research, and analysis.
- Relationship‑focused with clients, peers, and management.
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude; embraces flexibility and adaptability.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Bachelor of Finance or Accounting and at least 8 years of relevant finance process or transformation experience.
- Experience in manufacturing, CPG, healthcare, and financial services industries preferred.
- Combination of audit and advisory experience; post‑acquisition transaction experience preferred.
- CPA qualification preferred.
