Job Description
Withum’s Tax Services Group is a team of tax specialists dedicated to ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting while minimizing or deferring tax payments. Their knowledge spans international, U.S. federal, state, and local regulations, and they help develop economical tax strategies across a variety of industries.
Location:
New York City.
- Prepare complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
- Prepare high net worth individual returns.
- Review mid-level complexity C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
- Review mid-level complexity individual returns.
- Research and draft memoranda involving complex tax matters.
- Identify tax planning opportunities.
- Handle and resolve tax controversies.
- Train and supervise staff accountants.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- Licensed CPA, or working toward CPA certification with parts passed.
- Master’s of Science in Taxation is preferred but not required.
- At least 4 years of public accounting experience.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, along with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the firm well to client management.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project‑management skills, strong attention to detail, and proven innovative problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Base salary ranges from $95,000 – $120,000 in New York City, plus a competitive benefits package and bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
