Multi Plan Audit Senior

Position Overview

Multi Employer Benefit Audit Senior, based in Tyson's Corner, VA or Columbia, MD. Lead audit, review, and compilation engagements and supervise staff.

• Lead the engagement team staff on planning and execution of audit, review, or compilation engagements.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations: staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting, and conclusion.
• Provide supervision and support to staff, foster open communication with engagement manager and partner.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for legal, regulatory, and accounting issues.
• Review all scheduled and non‑scheduled general ledger accounts for accurate entries.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets, identify inefficiencies.
• Conduct constructive discussions on evaluations and provide counsel to team members.
• Serve in professional development programs as instructor or discussion leader.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or CPA‑eligible.
• At least 2 years of public accounting experience, including leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity with US GAAP.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills, able to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Strong ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent organizational, project management skills, strong attention to detail, and innovative problem‑solving.

Base salary $82,500 – $95,000 (Columbia, MD). Competitive benefits package and bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
