Accountant, Financial Reporting

Location: Brewster

Our client, a dynamic organization in Hardscape Manufacturing, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy, diligence, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

** Monday through Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

** Temp-Perm Opportunity*
* ** What's the Job?*
* + Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

+ Reconcile payroll, bank, credit card, and other general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies

+ Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation

+ Support internal and external audits

** What's Needed?*
* + Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

+ Minimum of three (3) years of general accounting experience

+

Experience with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and accounts payable

+

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar ERP systems preferred

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
