Tax Preparer

Whitecap Search is seeking a dedicated and experienced tax professional. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and reviewing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and various entities. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships/K-1s, trusts, and gift tax filings.
• Collect, organize, and analyze client financial information and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and filing requirements.
• Assist with tax planning strategies and year-round client advisory services.
• Research tax issues and prepare supporting documentation for complex tax matters.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax questions, outstanding items, and filing updates.
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices and support audit inquiries as needed.
• Collaborate with internal tax, accounting, and advisory teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions.

• 3-10 years of experience; CPA is a plus but not mandatory.
• Looking for candidates with clean backgrounds and stable employment history.
• Experience in mid-sized firms is ideal; smaller firms will be considered if candidates are hands-on, willing to learn, detail-oriented, and possess a strong work ethic.
