Senior Accountant – Family Office

Company Overview

A private family office managing the financial affairs and investments of a high‑net‑worth individual is seeking a Senior Accountant. The role involves comprehensive accounting and reporting tasks for family office entities and the owners.

• Reconcile daily trading activity and prepare daily P'L reporting
• Maintain the general ledgers and journal entries for Corporations, Individuals, and Investment Partnerships
• Process all AP activities, including receipt and processing of vendor invoices, travel and expense reports, household bills, and payment processing
• Prepare cash reporting and monitor bank account balances
• Reconcile monthly bank/brokerage statements
• Prepare month‑end close and reporting packages
• Assist in the tax basis accounting and recording of K-1 activity
• Monitor insurance requirements for personal assets
• Assist with year‑end reporting of 1099s
• Assist in the preparation of year‑end tax work papers and supporting schedules for external tax accountants
• Respond to family requests and inquiries
• Leverage AI tools to streamline internal workflows and enhance process efficiency
• Ad‑hoc projects

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• At least 2 years of overall experience in accounting
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Outlook, and Excel)
• Familiarity and comfort using AI tools (i.e., Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini)
• Knowledge of accounting software preferable

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000, Plus Bonus
