About Fivio & Co.
Controller / CPA (Fractional → Full-Time)
Fivio & Co. is a hospitality group building a next-generation restaurant concept, with plans to grow into a multi-location group over time, including evaluating opportunities to acquire established restaurant businesses as part of that growth. We re building the financial infrastructure to support a multi-entity organization from day one, and we re looking for the right person to help build that foundation.
The RoleWe re looking for a CPA who can start fractional and grow into our full-time Controller as the business scales. In the early phase, you ll build the finance function from scratch: chart of accounts, accounting systems, controls, and reporting cadence. As the company grows and adds locations and entities, the role expands into ongoing full-charge accounting, tax compliance, and financial leadership across the group.
This is a build-it-yourself opportunity for someone who wants ownership over a finance function from its earliest days, with a clear path to a permanent, senior in-house role.
What You ll Own- Build the foundation: Stand up accounting systems, chart of accounts, and internal controls appropriate for a multi-entity organization
- Full-charge accounting: Bookkeeping, AP/AR, reconciliations, and month-end close as transaction volume grows
- Tax & compliance: Manage tax filings and ensure compliance across corporate and operating entities
- Financial reporting: Prepare investor- and board-ready financial statements and reporting packages
- Cash flow & forecasting: Own cash flow management and forecasting through pre-opening capital deployment and into operations
- Growth support: Provide financial due diligence and modeling support as the group evaluates new locations and acquisition opportunities
- Scale with us: Transition from fractional to full-time Controller as the business grows, eventually building and leading a finance team
- CPA required (active license)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including time at a nationally or regionally recognized public accounting firm (Big 4 or top-tier regional) and/or a controllership/finance leadership role at a well-regarded company
- Proven experience building or scaling a finance function from the ground up, not just operating within an existing one
- Restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit/multi-entity operating experience strongly preferred
- Track record working directly with founders, executives, or boards in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
- Deep GAAP knowledge and hands-on experience with accounting systems implementation (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar)
- Strong command of multi-entity corporate structures (C-Corp/LLC) and the tax/compliance implications that come with them
- Demonstrated ability to produce investor-and board-grade financial reporting, not just internal bookkeeping
- Comfortable operating with significant autonomy and ambiguity in an early-stage setting
- Depending on experience. Structured as a fractional engagement initially, converting to a full-time salaried role with growth into the position.
