AVP - Finance and Accounting AI Enablement

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an AVP, Finance & Accounting AI Enablement to join their Strategic Change Delivery team. This role sits at the intersection of accounting rigor and AI innovation — ensuring that as automation and AI transform Finance, the integrity of financial outputs, controls, and audit readiness never miss a beat.

You'll own key reconciliations and variance analysis, serve as a trusted liaison for audit and compliance, and act as a critical second line of review for AI-assisted and automated financial outputs across Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Risk.

• Own key reconciliations and lead variance analysis and root-cause investigations, reporting clearly to Finance leadership
• Review and approve system outputs, automation results, and AI-assisted calculations for accuracy and completeness
• Execute and document financial controls, maintaining audit-ready evidence at all times
• Track exceptions, manage remediation, and track issues as needed
• Serve as the primary point of contact for audit and compliance queries across Finance transformation initiatives
• Act as the second line of review for AI-assisted calculations, applying professional skepticism and sound accounting judgement
• Partner closely with the Intelligent Automation BA to ensure AI-enabled workflows are built with proper accounting treatment, controls, and auditability from day one
• Build strong cross-functional relationships across Finance, Tax, HR, Payroll, and Technology

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 5–7 years of experience in finance or accounting-focused roles, or equivalent accounting/controls experience
• Strong working knowledge of financial accounting
• Demonstrable experience executing financial controls, managing reconciliations, and preparing audit evidence
• Ability to critically review automated and AI-generated financial outputs with sound accounting judgement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Professional accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent)
• Experience with in Finance or Controllership functions
• Working knowledge of systems such as Oracle, Essbase, Tableau, Workiva Wdesk, or Kyriba
• Experience supporting internal or external audit engagements
