Payroll / Accounts Payable Manager – Hard Rock Hotel New York

Compensation: $90,000.00 – $95,000.00 (salary exempt position)

• Lead the end‑to‑end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of weekly payroll.
• Process weekly and monthly union reporting and payments in accordance with the IWA agreement.
• Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with Corporate Vendor Registration and Contracts Administration to ensure accurate vendor onboarding.
• Assist with month‑end closing for all accounts payable tasks, including AP accruals and vendor reconciliation.
• Maintain complete and compliant vendor records, including documentation, tax forms, and supporting information.
• Analyze invoice processing, vendor setup, and payment activities to identify irregularities, risks, or errors.
• Develop and implement process improvements across payroll and accounts payable functions.
• Serve as a key business partner across departments to support accurate payroll administration and vendor payments.

• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and accounting principles.
• Experience managing payroll processing, AP operations, vendor administration, and financial controls.
• Proficiency with payroll systems, ERP, and advanced Excel for financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in payroll and accounts payable management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive financial and employee information.
