Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial operations and play an integral role in our business by directing accounting activities and developing the MS SHIFT accounting team.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all transactions.
• Ensure clients are accurately invoiced in a timely manner for work delivered and expenses incurred.
• Maintain the general ledger, including reconciling accounts, taxes and preparing journal entries.
• Cultivate the accounting team by managing performance, providing training, and setting goals.
• Participate in audits and reconciliations of financial records as needed.
• Ensure all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Assist the accounting team with contacting clients to follow up on past-due invoices.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Prior accounting experience at the Staff Accountant level.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting.
• Month-end closing along with G/L accounting, reconciliation, fixed assets and accruals.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• 5+ years of experience with Quick Books Online and MS Office.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Previous experience with Financial Reporting, Month-end Close, and Variance Analysis.
