Senior Manager, Technical Accounting | Global Consumer Products Company | Hybrid NYC (2 Days)

A global consumer products company with a portfolio of internationally recognized brands is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to join its corporate finance team in New York City.

This is a highly visible role responsible for complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters, SEC reporting, technical accounting research, and accounting policy. The Senior Manager will partner closely with Corporate Finance, Legal, FP&A, and external auditors while helping drive compliance with evolving accounting standards and supporting a best-in-class financial reporting function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical accounting research and prepare accounting position papers under U.S. GAAP
• Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K and related footnote disclosures
• Serve as a technical accounting resource for corporate and business unit finance teams
• Monitor and implement new accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Partner with internal and external auditors on technical accounting and financial reporting matters
• Support SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial policies
• Prepare materials and accounting updates for senior leadership and the Audit Committee
• Participate in strategic finance and cross-functional initiatives

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
• 8–12 years of accounting experience with a strong foundation in technical accounting (Big 4 background preferred)
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements for public companies
• Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda and researching complex accounting issues
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner across a large, multinational organization
• Advanced Excel skills and exceptional attention to detail
