Staff Accountant @ Entertainment company

Coda Search is partnering with a rapidly growing entertainment company that has been revolutionizing the sports media landscape with offices located in New York, NY. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Staff Accountant to join a collaborative and forward-thinking finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting the Senior Accountant with the month-end close in addition to performing full-cycle accounts payable, vendor management, and supporting the annual audit.

• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Partner with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain adherence to payment terms.
• Reconcile AP sub-ledgers to the general ledger, addressing and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries in compliance with accounting standards and with proper documentation.
• Assist with AR and maintain AR schedules
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate coding.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Net Suite, Ramp, and Billpay experience is a big plus
• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
