Job Overview

Withum’s Tax Services Group is a team of tax specialists dedicated to ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting while minimizing tax liabilities. The group serves international, US federal, state, and local clients, providing services that include business, individual, state, local tax, R&D tax credits, and private client services.

• Review, prepare, and file annual nonprofit information returns and unrelated business income tax returns for a diverse Not-For-Profit practice, including public charities, private foundations, social welfare organizations, trade associations, and social clubs.
• Prepare and review relevant state income tax returns and annual state charitable registration forms.
• Research and resolve tax-exempt organization tax issues.
• Assist with preparation of Employee Benefit Plan returns, C‑Corp., S‑Corp., partnership income, fiduciary tax returns, and individual returns as needed.
• Lead all aspects of tax engagements, supervise and mentor staff, and build/maintain client relationships.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a CPA license (JD or MS in Taxation also acceptable).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, along with excellent verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Strong organizational, project management skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to travel as needed.

The compensation range for this position is $120,000–$180,000 and varies by location for candidates residing in New Jersey or New York City.
