Ready to make a real impact at the forefront of digital assets? As a Senior Accountant you’ll work with the Accounting Manager to orchestrate our daily accounting functions and be instrumental in ensuring a flawless month‑end and year‑end close. You’ll partner closely with FP&A and SEC Reporting teams on vital financial initiatives to ensure our company continuously meets the evolving cryptocurrency accounting standards and regulations.
This is an exciting opportunity at the forefront of cryptocurrency regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards. The role is based in NYC and requires working from our office near Union Square a minimum of four days per week.
- Own and review the month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile cryptocurrency wallets, exchanges, and blockchain transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures tailored to the cryptocurrency industry.
- Collaborate with the SEC Reporting team in preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting principles, frameworks, and cryptocurrency‑specific standards.
- Support the SEC Reporting team with external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on evolving cryptocurrency regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting software and blockchain‑based financial tools.
- Coordinate with FP&A team in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
- Lead initiatives to automate balance sheet reconciliations, enhancing the accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of the month‑end close process.
- Drive continuous process improvement by identifying and implementing automation and workflow enhancements across accounting operations.
- Manage ongoing efforts to streamline and optimize the month‑end close process, improving efficiency while strengthening internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
- 3+ years of public and private accounting experience in Financial Services, Fin Tech, and/or Digital Assets industries.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles; experience with digital asset accounting practices is highly preferred.
- Experience with accounting software and familiarity with blockchain‑based financial tools.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment and adapt to evolving industry regulations.
- Basic understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital asset management is highly desirable.
Bullish US LLC & Coin Desk Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $135,000 - $150,000 plus discretionary annual target bonus and performance incentives/benefits. Offered salary will be reflective of job‑related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
