Description

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to support daily financial operations while helping lead an efficient administrative team in Westchester, New York. This position combines hands-on bookkeeping work with oversight of customer service and data entry functions to keep workflows accurate, timely, and responsive. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to guide staff in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise customer service and data entry personnel, including remote team members, to maintain consistent performance and service standards.

- Create staffing approaches that align team coverage with business volume, client expectations, and peak seasonal activity.

- Track output, accuracy, and task completion across daily operations to ensure deadlines and service commitments are met.

- Provide direction on resolving processing issues and correcting errors to improve overall quality and efficiency.

- Coach, train, and support employees to build accountability, strengthen skills, and enhance team effectiveness.

- Manage daily incoming cash activity and assist with procedures related to cash handling and financial controls.

- Process payroll twice monthly and help ensure time records and payroll information are complete and accurate.

- Respond to client and customer concerns through strong oversight of service delivery and timely issue resolution.

Requirements - Experience in bookkeeping with solid understanding of day-to-day financial processes.

- Proficiency in Quick Books for recording transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.

- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.

- Ability to complete bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies efficiently.

- Experience overseeing staff, including coordinating work for remote employees.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under deadline-driven conditions.

- Effective communication and problem-solving skills for handling internal coordination and customer-related matters.
