We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Accounting Intern with strong English communication skills and hands-on Quick Books experience to support the accounting and financial operations of a real estate development company in New York City. This internship is ideal for candidates with a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and bookkeeping workflows who are looking to gain practical experience within a fast-paced business environment.
Candidates must have prior experience using Quick Books and familiarity with GAAP-based accounting processes.
- Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations
- Maintain and update financial records using Quick Books
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and expense tracking
- Assist with preparation and organization of financial reports and documentation
- Coordinate with external accounting firms regarding financial and reporting processes
- Help ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and internal procedures
- Assist with invoice processing, vendor communication, and record management
- Support administrative and operational accounting tasks as needed
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Prior hands-on experience using Quick Books is required
- Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and standard accounting workflows
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a professional environment
- Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or finance internship/work experience
- Experience working with external accountants, financial reporting, or reconciliations
- Interest in real estate, development, or property-related financial operations
- Familiarity with accounting automation tools and financial systems is a plus
- Practical accounting experience within a professional business environment
- Direct exposure to bookkeeping, financial operations, and reporting processes
- Opportunity to strengthen Quick Books and GAAP accounting knowledge
- Experience collaborating with accounting professionals and external firms
- Professional development in financial operations and corporate accounting workflows
- Location: New York City, New York (Onsite)
- Compensation: $20/hour
- Schedule: 32 hours per week, 40 hours per week is OK.
